Anyone Work At AOL? AIM Help Needed.
About six years ago, I needed to test some third-party AOL Instant Messenger software so I created an AIM account. I didn't think I'd use it all that much. But over the years it became my primary form of communication with some people.
Although I often wished I had chosen a less random screen name (drjellyfish - I was reading an oceanography book at the time), I never went back to change or update anything.
About a week ago, I could suddenly no longer log into AIM. I tried various computers and devices with no luck. I could log into other accounts with no issues. But for the drjellyfish AIM account, I was told either the name or password (or both) were invalid. Trying to login via the AIM website reports my password is invalid.
So I'm thinking that either AOL did something and zapped my account for some reason; someone hax0red my account and changed my password (which seems unlikely, and no one else has logged in with my screen name), or AOL somehow messed up m password. (If I'm missing any other possibilities please let me know).
The problem is, either I never associated another email address with this screen name, or the email I did use is long gone. So all attempts at password reset/recovery via the AIM/AOL websites send emails off to nowhere. I've chatted online with support and talked to folks on the phone. They send me to each other and thank me for allowing them to help me. Very polite, but not helpful. Plus, I never had an actual AOL account, so anything they advise around AOL keywords does not help.
Everything I've found via Google says that if you don't have an email associated, you are out of luck. Anyone in the AOL world that can offer any other advice?

Oh, got the shirt. I could literally wear it as a dress and not show anything close to an inappropriate amount of skin. Will be passing it along to my hiptop-obsessed younger brother. That ok?
Unfortunately I didn't have a lot of sizes to pick from, but glad you could find someone to give it to :)
